The Museum-Reserve of Sergei Yesenin will hold a poetry festival

The All-Russian Yesenin poetry festival "The Motherland of the Russian Soul" will be held in the Museum-Reserve from October 1 to 3 and will be dedicated to the 127th anniversary of the poet's birth and the 400th anniversary of the village of Konstantinovo.

“In the house where the poet was born and lived, you will hear his poems, see manuscripts and letters, and watch a film about the writer's spiritual mentor, Father John. The exhibition center will show photographs of performances in which the actors embodied the image of Sergei Yesenin,” the Russia Travel portal reports.

A fair will unfold in the rural square of the village, where it will be possible to purchase ceramics, embroidery, lace, toys and wicker baskets.

Children will be able to try out the rides of the late 19th century and take pictures with a Russian stove and a wooden bridge.

Dance and song ensembles, the Belfry and Transition theaters will also perform at the festival.
