Guests of the Elbrus resort can now use a Mir contactless bank card issued by any Russian bank as a multi-day ski pass. The technical solution was jointly launched by the Kavkaz.RF company, the Mir payment system and the government of Kabardino-Balkaria.
“To use your card as a ski pass, you need to go to the online store on the official website of the Elbrus resort, add the Mir card as a carrier and write down the desired tariff on it. After that, you can pay for the purchase with a card of any payment system, and at the resort you can immediately go to the turnstile and use the registered Mir card instead of a ski pass, Kavkaz.RF reports on its website.
This will allow visitors not to waste time in the queue.
Since the beginning of the ski season, guests have only been able to use bank cards to purchase one day of skiing. The company saw interest in this method of payment.
“And now they can be used as a full-fledged alternative to a personal ski pass: on any day, in any place, add the required tariff and ride without ticket offices,” said Nikolai Goncharov, deputy general director of Kavkaz.RF.
