Alovera Beach is designed to become an idyllic beach enclave 300 km from the sea and 30 minutes drive from Madrid.

In the summer months, the heat makes it almost impossible to enjoy visiting the Spanish capital. This gap seems to be fixed.

In the municipality of Alovera in the province of Guadalajara, the largest artificial beach in Europe located just 50 km from Madrid is being built.

According to El Español, if the application for public call for tender for the construction of a recreational complex is approved and the deadlines are met, part of the infrastructure will be opened to visitors in 2023.

The implementation of the project has been repeatedly interrupted due to the gigantic scale: the total area of the complex will be 105,000 m2. Of these, 25,000 m2 will be occupied by the artificial reservoir itself, another 15,000 m2 – directly by the beach.

The artificial beach resort will be equipped with several bars, water sports areas, water slides, ziplines, beach volleyball courts and much more.

The initial budget of the works is 15.6 million euros.

It is planned that the commissioning of Alovera Beach will create up to 170 direct and 180 indirect jobs.
