The famous national park "Krasnoyarsk Pillars", which is located on the right bank of the Yenisei River, turned 95 years old.

The reserve in the spurs of the Sayan Mountains with an area of over 47 thousand hectares was founded on June 30, 1925 at the initiative of the Krasnoyarsk residents to preserve the natural complexes around the picturesque Syenite remains - "pillars". Today, syenite rocks - spurs of the Sayan mountains - have become a favorite vacation spot for active citizens and visitors.

“Krasnoyarsk Pillars” is a regional brand and a specially protected natural area of federal significance, over 20 thousand tourists come here every week, the reserve administration said. “This is true folk love - over 100 rocks have got their own names.”

In 2019 alone, more than 1.1 million tourists visited the Pillars.

This year, the reserve again began to receive visitors in the last days of June, opening some of the popular routes. While there was a forced downtime, his employees did not sit idle, updating the infrastructure - installing new street objects, benches, sports equipment, repairing gazebos - and landscaping hiking trails. At the Eastern entrance to the "Pillars" in September an environmental and educational center for children and adults will open to visitors in September.
