The Natural Parks Network will receive federal funding to strengthen its inspectors, equip cordons, and purchase equipment.

According to the press service of the regional administration, agreements on this were reached during a recent meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Governor of Kamchatka Vladimir Solodov.

"Since the parks belong to the department of the regional authorities, they do not receive the necessary funding. Thanks to the support of the Federal Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, Volcanoes of Kamchatka will be able to strengthen the inspector staff, equip cordons and purchase the necessary equipment," the report says.

Now the network of natural parks "Volcanoes of Kamchatka" includes four specially protected natural areas: Klyuchevskoy, Nalychevsky, Yuzhno-Kamchatsky and Bystrinsky parks, on which 15 active and more than 100 extinct volcanoes are located, 27 tourist routes have been laid. Until now, the number of inspectors, the availability of equipment and cordon equipment did not meet the requirements.
