The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources told how the reserves and national parks of Lake Baikal are preparing to receive guests and are putting ecotrails in order.
Thus, two new guest houses were built in the Baikal Nature Reserve in Buryatia, new programs for tourists were prepared at the Baikal Zapovedny visitor center, and an audio guide was launched for family hikes along the Tankhoiskaya Versta trail. Employees of the protected area paved the route to the Zuevsky waterfall and repaired the ecological trail "The Way to Baikal". In addition, the eco-trail to the Medvezhiy Ugol shelter has been put in order, trees have been planted near the Tankhoiskaya Versta trail, and crossings on the eco-trails have been prepared.
Reserves under the management of the Baikal State Reserve are also preparing for the summer reception of tourists. A bivouac with a barbecue area has appeared in the Kabansky reserve, and the Selenginsky tram vessel has been prepared for operation, on which the staff of the protected area conduct excursions along the channels of the Selenga River. In the Altacheysky reserve, a tourist car is ready for work, equipped specifically for observing wild ungulates.
Swings appeared on the most popular route "North of Olkhon Island" in the Pribaikalsky National Park in the Irkutsk Region and two new information stands were installed. On the cape itself, there are four picnic areas and four places for comfortable and safe gatherings around the fire.
