Mobile operator MTS has installed a base station on the territory of the future Mamison resort in North Ossetia. It fully provides communications for all specialists involved in the construction of the tourist complex. The company “Kavkaz.RF” reported this on its website.
“The station was located in the Mamison Gorge, at an altitude of 2000 m above sea level. Over the next year, there are plans to connect additional communication facilities and develop the 4G network. According to the Mamison telecom infrastructure development project, in 2024 the operator will build over 80 km of fiber optic lines in the mountainous and inaccessible areas of the gorge, and will also launch new base stations for high-speed data transmission,” the statement says.
“Mamison” is a resort under construction in the Alagirsky district of North Ossetia under the management of “Kavkaz.RF”. There is a special economic zone on its territory. Construction work at the resort began in 2022, the first facilities are planned to be put into operation in 2024-2025.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
