On October 16, Tula will host the Final of the All-Russian competition for the development of ecotourism in Russia.
The competition commission will select and announce 10 winners who will be able to implement their projects to create pilot tourism and recreation clusters within the framework of the integrated development of specially protected and adjacent natural areas.
The event will be held online. The broadcast will be available on the ASI YouTube channel, as well as on the TASS website. The ceremony will be broadcast from 14:00 Moscow time to 15:00.
The event will be attended by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for environmental protection, ecology and transport Sergey Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Elena Panova, Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation Zarina Doguzova, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva.
The All-Russian competition for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia started on June 16, 2020. 36 regional teams reached the final of the competition.
The competition was attended by 239 protected areas with a total area of 58 million hectares.
