The final stage of the Vladivostok Book Lighthouse Festival will be held in the capital of Primorye from August 18 to 20.
Over 100 events and a book fair are planned.
"Book Lighthouse" is an intellectual holiday for reading Russians and Russian-speaking Internet users. His task is to captivate as many people as possible with reading. The festival hosts meetings with writers, publishers, editors, as well as various book fairs and workshops for children and teenagers," the Tourist Portal of Primorsky Krai reported.
The project "Book Lighthouses of Russia" started on August 1 - a large Book expedition went on a trip to the regions of Russia. The train with writers, librarians, publishers and bloggers - moves along the route St. Petersburg - Vladivostok with one–day stops in cities along the way, where thematic events are held. The route passes through Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita, Khabarovsk. The Vladivostok Book Lighthouse Festival will be the final event of this trip.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
