Residents and guests of Sochi are advised to temporarily stay away from the beaches until the situation stabilizes and the sea water is cleared of debris after heavy rains on July 22. After the disaster, a large amount of branches and writhing was carried to the beaches of Sochi by streams of rain. On five beach areas, storm water washed away a pebble strip.

"Due to heavy rains on beach areas in all urban areas of the city, storm debris was carried out from the sea to the coastline. Beach users promptly collect and remove it. Large trees are sawn with chainsaws and removed from beach areas. more than 400 people are involved in the beaches,” said Kirill Yarysh, Director of the Department of Resorts, Tourism and Consumer Sphere of the Sochi City Administration.
