The All-Russian Society for the Conservation of Nature held volunteer clean-ups at water bodies in Russia

On May 14, 2022, the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation launched the federal project “Unique Water Bodies of Russia”. As part of the program, volunteer clean-ups were held at unique water bodies in Russia.

With the assistance of the district administrations, it is planned to organize a systematic cleaning of the territories and turn them into civilized places of recreation.

In addition, on May 14, on the banks of the Irganai reservoir in the village of Maidanskoye, the All-Russian campaign “Water of Russia” will be launched, which is held annually with the support and participation of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Nature. The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Rosvodresursy, state authorities of the Republic of Dagestan.

The all-Russian action is supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Water Resources and the Clean Shores of Eurasia initiative. The project partners are the Public Council of the State Corporation "Rosatom" and PJSC "Norilsk Nickel", information support - Publishing House "AiF" and the social network VKontakte.
