The festival will feature over 450 unique wildlife photographs.

“This year, most of the exposition will be devoted to the topic of ecology and the conservation of Russia's natural resources,” the Ministry of Natural Resources reports on its website.

The main section titled "The World of Nature Photography" will focus on landscapes and how to capture them.

Also at the festival will be presented the photo project "Seasons", the creation of which the Union of Wildlife Photographers took more than two years.

“A special photo exhibition will tell about the new video project by Igor and Dmitry Shpilenkov “Kamchatka. A story in foxes”, which became a kind of experiment in long-term film observation. The authors of the film spent 16 months away from civilization, ahead of them is a new expedition,” the ministry said.

A new large-scale special project of the festival "Wild Nature of Moscow Parks" will show the diversity of the nature of Moscow parks from a new angle and reveal its ecotourism potential. The exhibition of the finalists of the competition "The Most Beautiful Country" will again be presented by the long-term partner of the "Pristine Russia" Russian Geographical Society.

The film program of the festival in 2022 includes the best Russian documentaries and animated films about nature.

Each weekend of Primordial Russia will be dedicated to a specific topic: environmental protection, science, animals, travel, ethnography, documentaries.

“This year, the guests of the festival are waiting for hundreds of popular science lectures, meetings with travelers and researchers, screenings of the latest documentaries about nature, master classes and excursions for children and adults, presentations of projects dedicated to nature protection,” the Ministry of Natural Resources noted.

The festival will take place in the halls of the Union of Artists of Russia in the western wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery.
