The popular tourist jazz festival "Swing of the White Night" will be held in St. Petersburg from July 5 to 7. This is reported by the city's tourist portal Visit Petersburg.
"The 31st festival will feature: the jazz orchestra of Georgy Garanyan, the trio of Sergei Vasiliev and vocalist Marina Volkova, the legendary guitarist, People's Artist of Russia Alexei Kuznetsov, "Mainugin-Band" and vocalist Svetlana Sorokina, as well as jazz violinist from China Chen Guangyuan and vocalist, bossa nova performer Gabriela Bergallo from Argentina.
The festival became famous for its free open-air gala concert, which will take place this year on July 7 near the Mikhailovsky Castle.
It will be performed by the Leningrad Dixieland of Oleg Kuvaev, the Jazz Philharmonic orchestra and the Brazilian trombonist, composer and arranger Rafael Rocha, the Moscow pianist Alexei Poddymkin and the vocalist, soloist of the ensemble of David Goloshchekin Yulia Kasyan, the blues band "AtomicJamBand", the ensemble "ElectricBlue" Ildar Kazakhanov-Konstantin Maminov, the band of Juan Orlandis - Alexei Samarin (Cuba-Russia).
The creator and artistic director of the festival is People's Artist of Russia David Goloshchekin, the portal notes.
