Sofia's German Christmas Market Lights Up the City

The capital of Bulgaria is sparkling with the lights of Christmas markets. One of the most colorful is the "German Christmas Market" in the square near the President's Palace, which has been running for 14 consecutive years. Adults can enjoy aromatic mulled wine, Bavarian beer, and of course, famous sausages. For children, there are confectioners and Christmas tree ornament sellers. Everyone can have fun together near the Christmas tree, which is set up next to the stage. Christmas melodies, from classical to jazz, add to the festive atmosphere.

This year, Sofia offers several Christmas markets with a variety of entertainment and holiday goods. In addition to the "German Christmas Market," near the National Palace of Culture, there is the "Sofia Christmas Fest" fair.
