The resort fee in Sochi may double from 100 to 200 rubles, according to a proposal made by the head of the regional parliament, Yuri Burlachko. In other cities of the Krasnodar Territory - Anapa, Gelendzhik, Goryachy Klyuch, Novorossiysk, Yeisk, Tuapse and Mostovsky districts - the collection may increase from 30 to 50 rubles.

"The resort fee gives additional opportunities for improvement," - noted Yuri Burlachko.

In 2023, the Krasnodar Territory received 742.2 million rubles from the resort fee, and 2.1 billion rubles in total during the entire experiment. The resort fee is levied in 16 municipalities of the region.

Experts believe that the increase in the resort fee will not scare away tourists, as there is no alternative to the Black Sea resorts in Russia.
