«By the end of October, we plan to receive 350 thousand tourists. At the planning meeting, the readiness of the city to meet the guests was discussed. Compliance with all the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and the sanitary condition of urban areas, including along the coastline, are under special control. Beach tenants should start dismantling and mothballing non-stationary retail facilities. This must be done quickly, without inconveniencing vacationers. Colleagues from Russian Railways were asked to strengthen control over the coastline along the tracks,» wrote Alexey Kopaigorodsky.

It is worth noting that a year ago, the October tourist flow was 440 thousand guests, which is almost 26 percent more. Earlier it was reported that in the period January-August Sochi received the most tourists in comparison with other resort cities of the Black Sea coast of the Kuban. Since the beginning of the year, 5.7 million tourists have visited Sochi. By the end of the year, the resort plans to receive 6.8 million tourists.
