Sochi 2014 Olympic Champion Vic Wild Presents His Own Line of Snowboards at Rosa Khutor

The renowned snowboarder held a special meeting at the Rosa Khutor resort, during which he not only shared the secrets of his skill but also presented his own line of snowboards to snowboarding enthusiasts.

Vic Wild's story is unique; he became the first snowboarder to win two gold medals at a single Olympics and is still the only representative of the Russian national team in history to hold the status of Olympic champion in this sport. Today, the famous athlete is actively developing his own production of snowboarding equipment. The idea arose from the need to create high-quality and affordable boards in Russia. The design, which ensures maneuverability, stability, and control, was developed taking into account the Olympic champion's own experience. Vic Wild personally tested all models. Each Wild Snowboards board undergoes testing in the harsh winters of Siberia and on the slopes of the Caucasus.

"Currently, the line includes four models of snowboards designed for various conditions and skill levels, suitable for both beginners and professional athletes. Special attention is paid to materials during their creation, ensuring high quality. While we currently produce them abroad, my main goal is to manufacture boards in Russia. Our team is already developing production in Moscow," explained Olympic champion Vic Wild.

The snowboarder plans to develop a unique board design for the Rosa Khutor resort. It was here, at the 2014 Winter Olympics, that he became a two-time champion, winning the highest awards in the giant slalom and parallel slalom. In 2024, a personal gold medal was unveiled on the resort's Alley of Fame in honor of Vic Wild. Today, the famous athlete rides the Rosa Khutor slopes on his own brand of snowboard.

"For me, Rosa Khutor is one of the best resorts in the world. Coming here, I feel the spirit of the Olympics. I see how the resort is growing and developing. It is known not only for its beautiful nature but also for its excellent infrastructure, excellent slopes, and trails. I enjoy spending time here," shared Vic Wild.

Snowboards from the Olympic champion are already available for rent at Rosa Khutor, and it is planned that a line with the resort's signature design will appear by the next ski season. In total, the resort has nine equipment rental points offering more than 4,000 sets of equipment. The skiing season at the Rosa Khutor resort will end on April 13.
