The Smelt 2023 winter fish festival and sports ice fishing competitions will be held in Dalnegorsk on February 18 and 19. This was announced by the Tourist Information Center (TIC) of Primorsky Krai on its website.
“The festival will be not only delicious, but also a fun holiday. To create the mood, the Culinary Village, the competition zone and the children's art zone will work, guests will be able to take vivid photos, and all this will be accompanied by a concert program. Of the pleasant bonuses - free ski rental for a walk in the winter forest," the message says.
During the fishing competitions, the organizers will set up a heating point, where participants and guests can drink tea in the warmth.
The gastronomic part of the festival promises to be rich.
“Sous chef Ivan Osipenko will prepare spicy salted smelt fried with potatoes and tartar sauce and grilled smelt. Each dish will be special and delicious. The chefs are planning to cook a thousand servings of smelt dishes - this is roast, fish soup, and spreads. Guests will be able to try smelt for free,” the TIC noted.
The Center is also developing a program of Far Eastern cuisine festivals in other areas of Primorsky Krai, where local products set the tone: kvass, pumpkin, flounder, scallop, and taiga gifts.
“Each district can boast of one or another dish or product, we attract small indigenous peoples. This will allow us to form a systematic approach to the promotion of the region and the region, where different types of tourism can complement each other,” said Olga Gurevich, director of the TIC Primorye.
The festival in Dalnegorsk will be held for the second time.
The bill received proposals from regions, the Presidential Administration, the Security Council, federal agencies, public organizations, and nearly 1,500 citizen appeals.
The forum, which brought together experts from a wide range of industries, hosted approximately 50 business events across three thematic areas: economics and investment, architecture and integrated territorial development, and tourism and hospitality.
