Singapore Tourism Board rises to the occasion with a novel idea

Singapore is much more than the sum of its numerous attractions. It’s constantly evolving, reinventing, and reimagining itself, with people who are passionate about creating new possibilities. It’s where foodies, explorers, collectors, action seekers, culture shapers, and socialisers meet―and new experiences are created every day, claims the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

STB may be right after all. A few days ago, it launched an initiative ‘SGClean’, inviting all to look out for #SGClean signs adorning the buildings of Singapore’s tourism and lifestyle spots!

According to the Board, to obtain SG Clean certification, establishments are required to uphold high standards by fulfilling a seven-point checklist. This covers aspects such as appointing an SG Clean Manager, thorough disinfection daily and adhering to screening processes and preventive measures.

STB hopes that this industry-wide effort will give locals and visitors peace of mind to visit and enjoy tourism establishments. STB aims to certify 570 hotels, attractions and tourism establishments over the next two months. #SGUnited
