Russpass Curates Top Spots for Aerial Views of Moscow

Russpass, the digital tourism service, has compiled a list of the best locations in Moscow to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Eight iconic spots, ranging from 15 to 337 meters above ground, offer stunning vistas of the capital. This information was shared by the Moscow Tourism Committee.

"A mesmerizing panorama of Moscow can be admired from the floating bridge in Zaryadye Park, the new 'Aerial Tram' cable car at VDNKh, the observation decks of the Ostankino Television Tower, and other locations. These spots are perfect for a unique date, an unforgettable day out with family or friends, and capturing beautiful photos," the statement reads.

From a height of 15 meters, the floating bridge in Zaryadye Park offers a view of the Kremlin framed by birches and the smooth surface of the Moskva River. The 70-meter-long bridge is suspended in mid-air without a single support, creating the sensation of hovering above the water.

The new VDNKh attraction, the 'Aerial Tram' with its futuristic cabins, provides beautiful views from a height of 32 meters. This is the longest cable car in the capital, stretching 769 meters. "Tourists love taking photos here against the backdrop of the city and exploring it with binoculars," the statement says.

For thrill-seekers, experts recommend visiting the tallest television tower in Europe, the Ostankino Tower, which boasts three observation decks and an interactive digital museum. "From the panoramic windows of the famous '7 Heaven' restaurant, with its rotating floor, you can enjoy a view of the metropolis. And at a height of 337 meters, you can walk on a transparent floor," the committee said.

From the roof of the Luzhniki Stadium at a height of 57 meters, visitors can see the main building of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Vorobyovy Gory, and the cable car. The platform also offers views of the skyscrapers of the Moscow City business center, the Moskva River, and the famous high-rise buildings. Access to the roof is only possible as part of a guided tour.

Enjoy a vibrant sunset at a height of 60 meters from the observation deck of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The platform is open 24/7 and offers free access. From here, you can see the Andreevsky Monastery, the metro bridge, and the Luzhniki sports complex.

The roof of the Central Children's Store offers views of the historic center of Moscow: the Kremlin, the Polytechnic Museum, Lubyanskaya Square, and the spire of the main building of Moscow State University.

And the Moscow cable car on Vorobyovy Gory, connecting the two banks of the Moskva River, offers the opportunity to fly over the city at a height of a nine-story building. The route length is 720 meters.

From the cabins of the "Moscow Sun" Ferris wheel, which rise to 140 meters, you can see more than 30 iconic places in the capital, including Ostankino Park, VDNKh, the Bolshoi Theater, and Stalin's skyscrapers. The ride lasts 18 minutes and 40 seconds.

The digital tourism service Russpass was developed at the initiative of the Moscow government. The project is overseen by the Moscow Tourism Committee in conjunction with the Department of Information Technologies.
