The Russian government has proposed declaring 2027 a jubilee year for the popular tourist route, the Golden Ring. As reported on the website of the Vladimir Region government, this issue was discussed at a working meeting held to commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of Suzdal. Valery Sidorenko, First Deputy Head of the Government Apparatus,Governor of the region Alexander Avdeev, and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov participated in the meeting.

"The Golden Ring, which includes Suzdal, is the most popular tourist route in Russia, visited by millions of Russians each year. In 2027, the Golden Ring will turn 60 years old. We have proposed holding a jubilee year at the state level. Together with the regions, the Ministry of Economic Development, VEB.RF, ANO 'Natspriority' and other stakeholders, we will develop an event plan and start preparations this year," Sidorenko's words are quoted in the message.

He noted that it was also decided to start working on the accreditation of the Golden Ring as a national tourist route in accordance with the adopted regulatory documents. The Ministry of Economic Development will be responsible for this.

"This will not only improve the quality of tourist services on the route but also focus state support measures on the development of infrastructure. Entrepreneurs will be able to take advantage of benefits and preferences when implementing tourist projects," Sidorenko said.
