The All-Russian Tourism Forum "Russia Inspires Travel" will be held from July 26 to 28 in Vyborg, Leningrad Region. This is an annual event that brings together tourism professionals in several areas - event, business, children's,youth, railway, cruise, creative and educational tourism. This was reported on its website by the Russian Union of Tourist Industry (RST).

"The key theme of the Forum in 2024 is the development of tourism in Russian cities. The main goal of the event is to popularize and promote the tourist products of the country's cities. The forum program includes plenary, discussion and expert sessions, conferences, round tables, author's seminars and special excursion programs," the message says.

It was decided to hold the event in Vyborg, as it is one of the leaders among cities actively developing event tourism and is a laureate of several awards in this field.

"The choice of the topic for the forum, tourism in cities, is due to the trend in domestic tourism - competition is growing between municipalities," the RST quotes the head of the committee of this union on event tourism, the founder of the "Russia Inspires Travel" project Gennady Shatalov.

The forum will be attended by representatives of government bodies, tourist associations and unions, organizers of tourist events, tour operators, producers of souvenirs and others.
