The press service of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development has announced that Russia and Belarus are discussing the creation of a joint tourism product. A combined tour will allow the countries to minimize competition for foreign tourists and attract guests from other states.
The development of joint tour routes, as well as the creation of a joint tourist information center and the organization of familiarization tours, are recorded in the roadmap for the development of tourism in 2025-2026. The document was signed following a meeting of the working group on tourism within the framework of the Union State, which took place in Minsk.
During the event, other areas of cooperation in the field of tourism were also discussed, such as logistics, transport links, joint marketing activities, and the training and internship of personnel.
The message notes that the tourist flow between Russia and Belarus is showing steady growth. In the first half of 2024, the number of Belarusian tourists entering Russia increased by almost 60%. Russian businesses confirm the growing demand for trips to Belarus. Air traffic is also expanding: there are currently 18 flights operating, and new routes are being developed.
