The conference will be attended by experts from Armenia, Belarus, Great Britain, China, Russia, France, Switzerland, South Africa, including a senator of the Russian Federation, three-time Olympic champion Alexander Karelin, honorary president of the International Ice Hockey Federation Rene Fasel, representatives of federal ministries and departments, the Sochi city administration, experts from the International Olympic Committee, Russian Olympians - scholarship holders of the Russian Olympians Support Fund.

Sergey Khvorostyany, Deputy General Director of the Rosa Khutor Mountain Resort for International Relations and Tourism, will be a speaker and talk about the activities of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts (EAGR). This public organization today unites 6 leading mountain resorts of Eurasia - the Russian Rosa Khutor, Amirsay from Uzbekistan, Shahdag from Azerbaijan, Shymbulak and Oi-Karagai from Kazakhstan, and the Mona Yong Pyong resort from South Korea.

As Sergey Khvorostyany notes: "Our resort was at the origins of the formation of the EAGR, and we are very pleased with the dynamics with which the Alliance is developing. Its mission is to create a platform for cooperation, exchange of experience and promotion of mountain tourism ideas with an emphasis on sustainable development, preservation of natural and cultural heritage, as well as improving the quality of tourist services. Together, we have already held a number of practical events, including sports competitions between teams from our resorts. We also share with colleagues from other countries our experience in preparing major competitions that have taken place and are taking place at Rosa Khutor. Sport, of course, is an important component of our interaction and strengthens intercultural and business ties, i.e. creates the very social effect. We consider it important to promote now the idea of creating sports events that will become points of economic growth, attraction and unification of friendly peoples."

The conference will be held in the format of foresight sessions and panel discussions. Expert discussions will cover a wide range of issues related to planning the social legacy of mega-projects in sports, creating innovative strategies for regional development through the integration of sports and tourism. The conference will conclude with a presentation of social projects by RIOU graduates in an "open microphone" format and a tour of the Olympic heritage sites "Sochi 2014", conducted with the support of the co-organizer of the conference, the Rosa Khutor mountain resort.
