During this period, the traditional holiday, the reindeer herders will "wander" around the settlements of the region, staying in each for a couple of days.

“Everyone will be able to get acquainted with the national festive ritual culture of nomadic peoples, learn their customs and traditions, watch concerts, take part in contests and competitions, as well as in the fair of craftsmen and excursions,” the national travel portal Russia.travel reports.

The guests of the holiday can be lucky enough to see the northern lights, visit a real plague, admire the vastness of the tundra. They will be able to get acquainted with the culture of shamans and taste the national cuisine - delicacies from valuable fish species, stroganin with lingonberries, venison dishes.

The fair will feature unique souvenirs with a northern flavor - figurines made by local craftsmen from bone, ceramics, bronze and beads, and national dolls.

The official website of the event has an interactive map where you can choose a convenient city and date.

For example, those who come to Salekhard for the holiday will be able to cross the Arctic Circle.

The Polar Circle Monument is one of the main attractions of the capital of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, it is installed right on the 66th parallel, the geographic North Pole.

“You will be able to make a cherished wish and even go through a ritual of initiation,” the organizers of the holiday say on their website.

Due to the epidemiological situation in the region, before planning a trip, it is necessary to clarify information about the dates of the events and the rules for visiting with the organizers.
