The government Agency for economic development of Canada has allocated the authorities of the French-speaking province of Quebec 256 million canadian dollars for ecotourism and adventure tourism at the international level.
The funds will allow professionals to properly represent Quebec at specialized exhibitions and fairs abroad. Thus, they will be able to demonstrate the potential of the province for adherents of ecotourism and non-standard tours of hard-to-reach and sometimes dangerous corners of the world.
Ecotourism and adventure tourism bring more than C $ 1.5 billion to Quebec's budget each year. At the same time, four out of ten travelers during their stay in the province prefer non-traditional tourism, EcoTourism Expert was told at the Aventure Écotourisme Québec.
