The Union of Private Museums and Collectors announced the launch of a large-scale museum festival aimed at deepening cooperation within the association and expanding the exchange of exhibitions. Exhibits from private museums and collectors will travel throughout Russia.

"The museum festival will provide an opportunity to push the boundaries of the information field of each museum, increase the flow of visitors, and most importantly - increase the availability of private collections for residents of different parts of the country," the union's press release says.

The museum festival will be held with the support of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry.

The first exhibitions will open at the end of September. And the latter will be completed in January-February next year.

Thus, Igor Panchenko, a collector of tin packaging from St. Petersburg, will go on tour to the village of Tulsky in the Republic of Adygea, where he will be received by the Geometry of the Living Museum. And the museum-gallery La Boheme Artistique from Izhevsk will come with a series of linocuts to the Kuban, to the city of Temryuk, where the Planet of the Donkeys museum is waiting for him.

In the Ryazan region, in the Meshchersky Museum of Wooden Architecture, they will meet Yana Kozlova from St. Petersburg, who will bring a collection of nesting dolls there.

Julia Karbovskaya from St. Petersburg will present an exposition of aviation glasses at the Central House of Aviation and Cosmonautics of the DOSAAF of Russia (Moscow).

“The Museum of Private Collections in Sergiev Posad will welcome the Moscow Museum of Dogs, collectors from the Moscow region Larisa Klyueva and Lyubov Samsonova, as well as the museum and exhibition project “Milk Coast” from the city of Rossosh, Voronezh Region: porcelain figurines of animals from around the world, made by famous Russian masters and European manufactories, hardly anyone will be left indifferent,” the press release reads.

In addition, on September 16, a round table will be held in the Yaroslavl region, at which the prospects for cooperation between the Union of Private Museums and Collectors and the Vyatskoye Historical and Cultural Complex within the Museum Festival project will be discussed.
