Portugal is experiencing an influx of tourists from the United States. In terms of the number of visitors to the country's tourist attractions, Americans today are second only to British citizens.
According to the National Institute of Statistics, 1,039,354 travelers arrived in Portugal from the United States from January to June 2024, and 1,158,937 tourists from the United Kingdom.
Compared to the first half of 2023, when more than 902,000 American tourists stayed in hotels in Portugal, their number increased by 15%.
The country is also in high demand for travel from tourists from Germany, Spain and France.
