Major museums and tourist sites in Paris managed to maintain or even improve attendance in 2024, despite a decrease in the number of visitors associated with the Summer Olympic Games in the French capital.

Thus, the Louvre has maintained attendance at the level of 2023. Last year, 8.7 million people visited the world's largest museum, compared to 8.9 million in 2023.

In turn, the Palace of Versailles and its estate received more tourists than in 2023, and even recorded a 2% increase in the influx of travelers compared to 2019.

Other popular museums among tourists - Orsay and Orangerie - were visited by 4.9 million people in 2024 compared to 5.07 million in the previous year.

The Pompidou Center Museum of Modern Art, which expects to be closed for at least five years in September 2025 for asbestos removal and reconstruction, recorded a 22% increase in attendance compared to 2023, when 3.2 million people visited it.
