After a two-year hiatus, Travelski (a subsidiary of Compagnie des Alpes) is announcing the resumption of rail service between Paris and the Alps for the winter of 2025-2026. This time, it will be a night train offering 660 berths and a bar-restaurant car.
Fourteen round trips are planned between December 19, 2025, and March 20, 2026. Departures from Paris will be on Friday evenings, and returns on Saturday evenings, allowing for 8 days of skiing. The route will serve several Alpine stations, including Aime, Moutiers, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, with "last mile" transportation arranged to the ski resorts themselves.
Travelski has chartered these trains from the French company Pegasus Trains. This initiative is part of Compagnie des Alpes' CSR strategy aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of ski trips, as transportation accounts for 80% of tourist emissions in the mountains, according to research.
