Due to a fuel oil spill in Kuban, a regional state of emergency has been declared. The release of oil products along the coast of Anapa and the Temryuk District continues. Initially, experts predicted that the majority of the oil products would remain on the seabed of the Black Sea, which would allow them to be collected from the water. However, due to warm weather, the oil products are rising to the surface and being washed onto the beaches.

"In 2024, Anapa will receive 400 million rubles, and in 2025, another 800 million rubles. These funds will be used for the removal and disposal of contaminated soil, including disinfection at specialized facilities," the administration of the Krasnodar region reported.

According to Alexander Kozlov, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, the volume of soil that needs to be disposed of could reach up to 200,000 tons.
