The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reported that more than 5,000 individuals have been added to the unified federal register of instructor-guides, which came into effect on July 1. Inclusion in the register grants these specialists the right to accompany tourists on challenging routes, verified by a badge displaying a QR code.
The register allows travelers to independently verify the qualifications of guides. By scanning the QR code, tourists can access the Ministry of Economic Development's portal, where information about each specific instructor and their qualifications to accompany groups on challenging routes is published.
Individuals wishing to be included in the register must undergo certification conducted by national sports federations. The examination consists of both theoretical and practical components.
The announcement notes that the initiative by the Ministry of Economic Development to create the register has helped prevent a shortage of instructor-guides during the summer holiday season.
