The government has allocated an additional 6.5 billion rubles from the reserve fund to support the program of providing preferential loans for previously approved investment projects in the development of tourism. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reported on its website.

"We expect that the decision to allocate such a subsidy will allow investors to accelerate work, complete the construction or reconstruction of hotel rooms on time, open water parks, ski resorts, and amusement parks," Mishustin's words from the government meeting are quoted in the message.

The program was launched in 2021. Currently, more than 200 projects are participating in it with a subsidized loan portfolio of about 870 billion rubles.

"Within the framework of the national project under the preferential lending program, the construction of 218 hotels with 51 thousand rooms, as well as 10 water park projects, nine projects for the creation of ski resort infrastructure, and three for the construction of year-round amusement parks have already been supported. It is expected that their total attendance will be 21 million people per year," said Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov, quoted by the ministry.
