Over 50 Territories Included in the List of Federal Resorts in Russia

The "Interfax-Tourism" portal, citing the press service of the Russian government, reported that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved a list of federal resorts, health improvement areas, and resort regions in Russia, which will come into effect on September 1.

This list is essential for delineating the jurisdiction of resorts, with the included federal resorts being overseen by the Ministry of Health, while others will be designated as regional resorts.

Included in the document is one health improvement area, the resort of Staraya Russa in Novgorod Oblast, as well as one resort region, the Caucasian Mineral Waters.

The list features an additional 55 federal resorts, including those in Anapa, Angara, Arshan, Belokurikha, Berdyansk, Bolshoy Taraskul, Darasun, Dorokhovo, Yevpatoria-Moynaki, Essentuki, Zaramag, Zelenogradsk, Karmadon, Kashin, Kisegach, Kozhanovo, Krainka, Krymskoye Pomorye, Kuldur, Marsial Waters, Novoe Usolie, Lake Gorkoye, Lake Karachi, Lake Medvezhye, Lake Shira, Ples, Samotsvet, Svetlogorsk-Otradnoye, Sergievskiye Mineral Waters, Sernovodsk-Kavkazskiy, Sochi, Tamiskiy, Tersinka, TiB, Tishkovo, Uvildy, Ursdon, Usolie, Ust-Kachka, Khilovo, Chemal, Shafranovskiy Kumys Treating Area, and Shmakovka.

The list also recognizes the Gelenzhik resort group, the Vyborg resort region, the suburban resort zone of Vladikavkaz, the resort zone of St. Petersburg along the Gulf of Finland, the Orenburg-Buzuluk kumys treatment area, and resorts on the southern coast of Crimea.

The announcement states that additional territories may be added to the list in the future following further research conducted by the federal Ministry of Health.
