Earlier, the media reported that due to fear of secondary sanctions, a number of Turkish banks suspended the acceptance of cards of the Russian payment system Mir.
Rostourism head Zarina Doguzova wrote on her Telegram channel on Thursday that the agency is monitoring the situation.
“The reasons are clear - these are attempts by a number of countries to block the work of the Russian card abroad. It is important to understand that foreign partners independently decide whether or not to accept Mir cards in their infrastructure,” Doguzova noted.
“Nevertheless, possible solutions to the problem are being worked out,” she said.
