Opening of air communication between Russia and Myanmar, Vietnam, South Korea and other countries is being worked out

The head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Alexander Neradko, said that the possibility of opening air links with a number of states is currently being considered.

“In the future, for the current year, the opening of air links with Myanmar, the resumption of flights to Vietnam, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia and South Korea are being worked out. The possibility of launching flights to the countries of the African continent - Ethiopia, South Africa, Algeria, Tunisia and other states is being worked out with Russian companies," Neradko said during a round table in the Federation Council on the work of the Russian tourism industry under the sanctions.

According to him, direct flights are currently carried out between Russia and 34 states. Among them are Egypt, Turkey, Cuba, India, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, China, Maldives, Seychelles, Israel, Iran, Laos, UAE, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia, most of the CIS countries.

Flights to the Russian Federation are operated by 53 foreign airlines from 27 countries.
