The influx of foreign visitors to Kazakhstan over the first nine months of 2024 reached 11.5 million people, almost double (a 90% increase) compared to the same period last year. This was announced on the website of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic.

"These figures indicate the effectiveness of the measures taken and the growing interest in Kazakhstan as a tourist destination," the ministry noted. The number of domestic travelers also increased (by 562 thousand) to 6 million people. Against this backdrop, the ministry reported a significant growth in the economic indicators of the industry. In particular, the country has seen an increase in the number of accommodations, with their capacity growing by 18,000 beds, reaching 226,000.

"This allows Kazakhstan to significantly increase its readiness to receive both domestic and international tourists," the ministry said.
