Norilsk Nickel has become the general partner of the Children's Ecological Forum (CEF), an all-Russian educational project aimed at supporting young talents in the field of environmental protection.

"We see environmental responsibility as a key factor in development. It is impossible to imagine our existence without fresh air, clean water and a healthy planet. The involvement of schoolchildren in the Children's Ecological Forum events is an excellent opportunity to present and defend their projects, exchange experience with more experienced teams, make new friends and get vivid impressions," - noted Andrey Grachev, Vice President of Norilsk Nickel for Federal and Regional Programs.

The CEF is a platform that gives schoolchildren the opportunity to exchange experience in developing and implementing environmental projects and receive expert evaluation. As part of the first stage, which will be held in an online format, participants from each region of the country will present their work. The second round, which will be held on October 17-18 in Chelyabinsk, will be attended by teams from only 51 regions whose projects will successfully pass the selection in the first stage. The winners in 18 nominations will be determined at the awards ceremony at the end of the Forum.

"The CEF is an event where an ecological community is formed from school, where children exchange knowledge and immerse themselves in the environmental agenda. This is teamwork with the further implementation of children's environmental projects, the main task of which is to form a personnel system for the industry," - said Tatyana Kovaleva,Director of the Foundation.

Supporting the Children's Ecological Forum is part of Norilsk Nickel's comprehensive program to develop environmental awareness and education among the younger generation. The company is confident that participation in the CEF will be an unforgettable experience for schoolchildren and will allow them to make their own contribution to preserving the environment.
