For the first time in history in France, a unique luxury historical boutique hotel has opened on the territory of a royal residence, in the heart of the Palace of Versailles, where Marie Antoinette lived.
Le Grand Contrôle is housed in a building built in 1681 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the favorite architect of King Louis XIV. A night in this exclusive location on the outskirts of Paris is, as you'd expect, expensive. Prices for 14 rooms are from 1700 euros per night. In addition to relaxing in luxurious chambers, guests will enjoy dinner, a real theatrical performance in the style of royal banquets. Guests will be offered exceptional dishes from Alain Ducasse, the owner of 20 Michelin stars, and as a relaxing "dessert" - the Valmont Spa.
On a private guided tour, with behind-the-scenes access to the Royal Court, visitors can contemplate the hidden corners such as the French Gardens, the Swiss Guard Lake, and enjoy canal boat trips to fully immerse themselves in the splendor of the Palace of Versailles.
