New Wellness Complex with Mineral Springs and Healing Mud to Be Established in Staraya Russa

The project for the "Rusic" Resort and Wellness Complex in Staraya Russa, Novgorod Region, has received a license for work with mineral water deposits. The creation of this new infrastructure is planned with the support of the "Tourism.RF" corporation as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry."

As part of the project, Staraya Russa is expected to see the construction of a hotel and accommodation buildings with a total of 380 three-star rooms, a therapeutic and aquatherapy building, tennis courts, and restaurants. Full operation of all facilities is scheduled for 2029.

"For wellness procedures, the complex will utilize mineral water from the namesake deposit – Rusich. To date, the project has received a license for geological study of the subsoil, including the search and assessment of mineral waters," reported "Tourism.RF" on its website.

Additionally, "Rusich" has already obtained a license for the extraction of healing mud, which will allow it to offer a comprehensive range of wellness services to guests.

"It is expected that 'Rusich' will enhance the tourism potential of the Novgorod Region and will be able to accommodate up to 20,000 visitors annually," noted the corporation.
