Several international-level tourist infrastructure facilities will be built at once on the territory of advanced development (TOP) "Mountain Air" on Sakhalin. "A modern health resort will combine a hotel with 120 beds, as well as a thermal complex with medical and SPA rooms, thermal and balneozones, an outdoor all-season heated swimming pool," the government of the Sakhalin Region reported on its website.
Within the framework of the project, a sports complex with an area of 1800 sq.m will be built with a universal hall for basketball, volleyball, mini-football and a wrestling hall intended for the Sakhalin regional organization (SRO) "VFSO Dynamo", on the basis of which it is planned to create a resort.
"The creation of a health resort on Sakhalin is not only an investment in the tourism industry of the region, but also concern for the health of our residents, new jobs. We will support the project at all stages of its implementation," said the governor of the region Valery Limarenko, whose words are quoted in the message.
The launch of the project, designed to create more than 180 jobs, is planned in 2027.
