Engineering surveys for the construction of the "Gagarin Constellation" family park-hotel in the Engels district of the Saratov region are scheduled to begin by the end of August. The complex is expected to appear near the landing site of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and the Park of Conquerors of Space. It is expected to increase the region's popularity among tourists. This was reported on the website of the "Tourism.RF" corporation.

"The park-hotel will be built on the banks of the Volga River as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry". The facility includes a 5-story hotel with 120 rooms, 80 guest houses, a spa center, the largest outdoor pool in the region, sports grounds, a beach, a conference area, and restaurants," the message says.

Specialists will need to prepare initial data for designers, collect information about the natural conditions of the site, carry out geodetic work, topographical surveying, and study the bottom topography of the Volga River to prepare a project for the hotel complex. "It is planned that with the commissioning of the hotel, the tourist flow to the region will increase by 26 thousand people," the corporation noted.

As "Tourism.RF" previously reported, the commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of 2026.

Gagarin's landing site is a federal cultural site and has been given the status of a "place of interest." An excursion route "Our City - the Cosmic Harbor of the Planet's First Cosmonaut" leads here.
