The press service of the Ministry of Ecology of the Chelyabinsk Region announced the opening of a new eco-trail near Lake Gorkoye, a natural monument. Now, on the shore of the reservoir, there is a basic tourist infrastructure - wooden decks, information stands, resting places, a parking lot, and a garbage collection area.

Lake Gorkoye is known for the healing properties of its water and mineral mud. It is a point of attraction not only for local residents but also for guests from all over the region. The average depth of the reservoir is slightly more than two meters, and the maximum reaches three meters.

The main value of the lake is considered to be the mineral muds that lie on the bottom and in the coastal zones, as well as the chloride-sodium, medium-mineralized lake water. The healing mud has a black color and high plasticity, possesses balneological properties that help cope with various ailments: joint pain, radiculitis, rheumatism, and skin diseases.
