The official website of the Mayor of Moscow reported that the city's tourism industry continues to show positive dynamics. In the first nine months of this year, all key indicators, including tourist flow, volume of tourist consumption, and contribution to the capital's budget, have reached record levels. From January to October, Moscow was visited by 19.7 million guests, which is 8% more than in the same period last year. This figure even surpassed the record-breaking indicators of 2019.

The main volume of tourist flow is still made up of residents of other regions of Russia. Their number reached 17.8 million people. This is a 7% increase compared to last year. The largest number of travelers arrived from Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar Krai, Rostov, Vladimir, Tula, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaluga, Saratov, Tver regions, and the Republic of Tatarstan.

Nevertheless, the foreign tourist flow is also growing. In nine months, it increased by 19%. A little less than two million foreigners came to the capital. Most often, Moscow was visited by residents of China, India, Turkey, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam.

Along with the growth of tourist flow, the occupancy of Moscow hotels increased by 6% compared to last year. It reached 76%. The city authorities are working to increase the number of hotel rooms. Since the beginning of the year, six new hotels have opened in Moscow.

The message notes that the capital attracts tourists not only with its rich cultural heritage but also with the quality of its infrastructure and a diverse event agenda. This year, events within the framework of the "Summer in Moscow" project were especially popular. Now, residents and tourists are awaiting more than a thousand events throughout the city within the framework of the "Winter in Moscow" project.
