The resort has prepared a special program of events for the 9th of May holiday. Guests will be able to try traditional soldier's porridge, sing wartime songs, take thematic excursions, and watch a film about the Battle for the Caucasus.

Events in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory began at Rosa Khutor on April 28th. In the Rosa Dolina (Rosa Valley), on the Romanov Bridge, a photo exhibition "Immortal Regiment" has been set up with portraits of relatives of the resort's employees who fought for their Motherland. Special themed gondolas with the names of Russian hero cities, cities of military glory, and cities of labor glory will operate on the main Olympia cable car. Starting from May 2nd, famous artists will congratulate the resort's guests on Victory Day - the voices of Konstantin Khabensky, Leonid Agutin, Maxim Averin, Sergei Zhukov, Vladimir Mashkov, Alexander Oleshko, and others will be heard throughout the resort during the day. Historical reports from the Soviet Information Bureau about events on the fronts and the heroic deeds of Soviet soldiers will also be broadcast.

From May 3rd to 11th, thematic excursions are planned at the interactive ethnographic complex "My Russia": "One for All: The Great Victory in the Fates of the Regions." Here, everyone will be able to visit a "song halt" and join a general choir during the flash mob "Let's Sing, Friends, Songs of Victory!", write a letter from the future with words of gratitude to the defenders of the Fatherland and place it on an 80-meter installation.

In the run-up to the solemn event, Rosa Khutor employees, together with the Administration of the Krasnaya Polyana settlement district, will congratulate veterans of the Great Patriotic War, present gifts, and take part in the annual flower-laying ceremony at the stele installed in the settlement.

"During the Great Patriotic War, literally a few kilometers from our resort, on the passes of Aishkha and Pseashkha, fierce battles of one of the most important сражений (battles) – the Battle for the Caucasus – took place. Thanks to the steadfastness of Soviet soldiers, the advance of the fascists was stopped, and they did not see either Krasnaya Polyana or Sochi. To honor the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, on May 9th, Rosa Khutor employees will make a traditional ascent to the 'Kholodny' (Cold) camp and lay flowers at the obelisk to the fallen soldiers," the resort reported.

On Victory Day, the festive program will take place at two venues – in Rosa Dolina (560 meters above sea level) and in the Mountain Olympic Village (1100 meters above sea level). A bright photo zone will appear on the Romanov Bridge in the center of Rosa Khutor, where you can take pictures with artists in military uniform and receive a St. George ribbon. The festive atmosphere will be created by performances of artists and musical ensembles with favorite wartime melodies. Guests can look forward to accordion songs, and everyone will be able to dance the victory waltz. Field kitchens will be set up on the square near the Town Hall, near the Berloga cafe in the Mountain Olympic Village, and on the veranda of the Vysokota restaurant at an altitude of 2320 meters above sea level. Free soldier's porridge will also be offered on Victory Day at the resort's establishments – Kaf Kaz, Krasnaya Polyana, Modus, O'Hara, Black Bar&Grill, Bierkeller, in the Suzdal pavilions and the Siberia cafe of the My Russia ethno-complex. The festive events on May 9th will conclude with open screenings of the film "Higher Than the Sky, Higher Than the Mountains. The Battle for the Passes," which was filmed on the initiative of Rosa Khutor and tells about the events of the Battle for the Caucasus. These screenings will take place at the "Prokat 1100" venue at 17:00 and in the lecture hall of the Sport-Marafon mountain club at 19:30.
