The press service of Mospriroda reported that this year the action "Eurasian bird registration" will be held from September 30 to October 1. Everyone will be able to join it, both individually and as part of groups.
As part of the campaign in the natural territories of Moscow, professional ornithologists together with nature lovers will observe the birds, determine the species and count them. Such folk accounting will help to learn more about the migration routes of birds, as well as about the difficulties they face during flights and wintering.
In addition, thematic events dedicated to birds will be held in Moscow. Classes will allow participants to learn how to correctly identify species of birds. Mospriroda specialists will share their experience of bird watching, their habits, and also tell you in which natural territories of Moscow and which birds can be seen.
Other regions of the country are also taking part in the campaign. According to its results, the winner will be the region in which the largest number of volunteers will count the most birds.
