The press service of Mospriroda announced the launch of new walking routes in the natural territories of the capital. All of them are laid in such a way as to minimize damage to the soil and vegetation cover of natural ecosystems and reduce the factor of animal anxiety.
In total, about 25 excursion routes have been laid through the natural territories of Moscow. They take place in the most interesting, beautiful and informative corners of the capital and are aimed at familiarizing citizens with the surrounding diversity of nature and its inhabitants. Mospriroda specialists conduct excursions during which they are taught to notice and contemplate animals and plants in their natural habitat.
Among the new excursions is a walk through the natural-historical park "Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo". The length of this route "Paths of the old park" is 1.5 km. Citizens will be able to walk past the cascade of seven interconnected ponds on the Chernushka River. On all sides they are surrounded by picturesque alleys of various types of willows.
The kilometer-long route "Pearls of the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo Park" passes by perennial oaks and pines, among which two natural monuments lurk: the spring "Tsarevna Swan" and the Khimki River. The water in the river does not freeze even during severe frosts, so waterfowl prefer to winter in these places. Thanks to the slow flow, a unique ecosystem has formed here. Beavers and muskrats live in these places, there are gogol, teal-whistler, shiloh-tailed, broad-nosed.
In the Izmailovo Nature and Historical Park, the route "Once upon a time there was a forest" is available to Muscovites. Tales of the Izmailovsky forest" with a length of 1.9 km. It runs through the most picturesque part of the park. During the tour, visitors will get acquainted with the flora and fauna of small-leaved and broad-leaved green spaces, admire the views of the Serebryanka River, ponds and streams. Here you can meet squirrels, hedgehogs, hares, hares, weasels, martens.
The fourth route passes through the territory of the eco-center "Eco-school Kuskovo". During the walk, Mospriroda specialists tell the guests about various representatives of flora and fauna living in the Kuskovo forest Park, about how natural communities are formed into tiers and coexist with each other.
