Bright sports and entertainment events on SUP boards will be held in the Russian capital as part of the "Moscow - on the Wave. Fish Week" gastronomic festival.
Thus, a carnival SUP swim will take place along the Vodootvodny Canal on the morning of May 25.
"More than 500 people will take to the route. On the same day, there will be a SUP tour for everyone who wants to see their beloved city from an unusual angle," the organizing committee of the cycle of city street events "Moscow Seasons" reported on its website.
And for everyone who confidently stands on the SUP and is ready to compete with their rivals, on May 26, the "Moscow on the Wave" cup awaits - athletes will compete for speed in the overall standings.
As reported on the website of the mayor and government of Moscow, among the participants of the SUP regatta are Olga Merkullova, the 2023 sprint world champion, Natalya Novitskaya - the 2021 vice-world champion and absolute champion of Russia in SUP boarding, Elena Prokhorova - a two-time world champion, as well as Ivan Shishrsov, last year's winner of the SUP regatta held within the framework of the "Fish Week".
In addition, on June 1 and 2, spectacular demonstration performances of SUP polo professionals will be held on Golyanovsky Pond.
The eighth gastronomic festival "Moscow - on the Wave. Fish Week" will be held in the capital from May 24 to June 2 as part of the cycle of city street events "Moscow Seasons". This year it will unfold on 29 sites, including Revolution Square, Manezhnaya and Tverskaya squares, and VDNKh.
"Markets and fairs, outlets and chain stores, restaurants and food courts - Fish Week will cover the entire capital. On the menu: seafood, fish and fish products directly from the best producers from different corners of Russia and neighboring countries. More than 500 items from the Far East, Yakutia, Murmansk, Astrakhan, the Pacific region, as well as from the Black Sea coast - to your table!
