For the first time, nine Moscow restaurants are included in the prestigious Michelin gastronomic guide.
According to the international director of Michelin Gwendal Pullenneck, two metropolitan restaurants received two stars of the French guide to unique restaurants and cafes, seven more were awarded one star.

"The Russian culinary scene is evolving, there is more and more dynamism, young chefs are showing their talent, a diverse palette of cuisines and products," Pullennek said.

The Twins Garden restaurant of the Berezutsky twin brothers and the Artest restaurant of the Novikov group received two stars. In total, 69 restaurants in Moscow are included in the Michelin guide.
Thanks to the selection conducted by anonymous inspectors of the company, Russia became the 35th country included in the gastronomic guide.

The main criteria for awarding Michelin stars, which began to be produced in 1900, are cuisine and accessibility to the visitor. However, the exact criteria remain a trade secret of the company.
