More than six million tourists have spent their holidays in Sochi since the beginning of the year

"Since the beginning of the year, more than six million guests have rested in Sochi, and half of them over the summer," said the mayor of the resort

In the summer season, 18 all-inclusive hotels operated in Sochi, 172 beach areas functioned, 38 of them passed the voluntary certification of the Federal Tourism Agency. Today in the city there is a demand for bookings in the winter. As the head of Sochi, Alexei Kopaygorodsky, noted, 35 percent of the room stock in the mountain cluster and 25 percent in the coastal cluster are booked for the New Year holidays. About 960 thousand guests are expected at the resort during the New Year holidays. By the end of the year, Sochi plans to receive more than 7.2 million tourists. Last year, this figure was about seven million.
